Today’s course
A Ginkgo trees representing Japan is located in Aoyama. Every year in late November, the trees turn yellow and are at their best. Today’s tour will start from Aoyama 1-chome, see the Ginkgo trees Gaienmae, and finish at Gaienmae Station. The course takes about 30 minutes on foot. (November 2021)
Honda Head Office
Honda’s Head Office has a distinctive appearance. We set off looking up at this.
Aoyama-itchome Station
Aoyama-itchome Station is served by three subway lines. Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line, and Oedo Line. This exit is Exit 1.
Ginkgo trees
This is one of the most famous rows of ginkgo trees in Japan; they turn yellow in late November. The ginkgo trees are taller in the front and lower in the back, giving you a sense of perspective more than it looks. You can see them while crossing the pedestrian crossing. The rows of yellow ginkgo trees are often featured in TV news and newspapers.
Honda Head Office
This is a famous cafe at the entrance of Ginkgo Avenue. There are both cafe and restaurant. There is a bakery in the shop and you can eat homemade bread.

Ginkgo trees
I took this picture in the early morning. There are joggers and walkers going by early in the morning.
This picture is taken from the other side of the ginkgo trees. From this side, the perspective is less.
Itochu Garden
This is a plaza run by Itochu, a major general trading company; as of November 2021, it is a space where Itochu is encouraging activities related to the SDGs.
Gaienmae Station
We arrived at Exit 4a of Gaienmae Station on the Ginza Line.
