Shiono Confectionery is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in Akasaka in 1947 (Showa 22). Each month, the shop offers about 10 varieties of fresh sweets that celebrate the seasons. “Kawataro” is another name for a kappa.This summer fresh wagashi is named after the novel “Kappa” by the famous author Ryunosuke Akutagawa.
